This is a set of resources to introduce and practise food & drink items. The PowerPoint initially introduces food and drink items in categories, with practice exercises to follow each set. In total there are over 70 food and drink items and the resource is easily adaptable if you want to introduce less. The work in this pack of resources will certainly cover several lessons. There are a range of activities on the PowerPoint and an accompanying worksheet. Also included in the pack is a word search and an odd one out activity. This resource is a comprehensive pack to ensure students can understand and successfully form the pluperfect tense. There are two lengthy Power Points, which will take several lessons in order for pupils to grasp and successfully conjugate the pluperfect tense of avoir verbs, both regular and irregular, as well as all être verbs, including reflexives. The Power Points can be used for pupils to use or copy to form accurate grammar/ resource notes in their books, which they can then refer back to when working individually to form this tense. On each PowerPoint there are lots of exercises for pupils to complete to check comprehension. The exercises are mainly translation, which are in line with the new GCSE specifications. There are worksheets to accompany each PowerPoint. There is also a further worksheet to complete after the two Power Points and this is aimed at higher tier students.

This is a set of 30 role-plays in a printable format to use for mock/ preparation/ class practice for speaking exams. These are all based on Theme 1 – Identity and Culture and have been compiled by studying exemplar materials given by all exam boards. There are 15 foundation tier and 15 higher tier role-plays. There is a teacher’s pack for each set of role-plays, giving the teacher’s part for each conversation. There are also two PowerPoints, one for the foundation role-plays, one for the higher set. This is a set of resources to introduce and practise reading and writing in French. The first PowerPoint is a very basic story about a day out in the zoo (Une Journée au Zoo) and there are different activities to do, related to the story. The second PowerPoint is the story of the Three Little Pigs (Les Trois Petits Cochons) and there are again activities to complete about the story. The third PowerPoint is to get pupils to write their own stories in French (or use well-known stories). Pupils are to make short story books in groups (or individually). They should decide the age they are aiming their storybook at and write and illustrate a story. I have used card with my groups to make their books and I have a lovely set of storybooks! Pupils can also make a set of short activities to go with the book they have created, based on the type of activities in Power Points 1 and 2. These can then be used with classes in lower groups to read and complete the activities. It can be a really fun activity and pupils really enjoy doing it. This is ideal for pupils in years 8 or 9, prior to starting their GCSE course.

There is a lengthy PowerPoint (74 slides) that covers initially 1 – 10 and then 11 – 20, followed by lots of practice activities. The numbers up to 100 are then introduced in stages. The PowerPoint has a whole range of activities, which are accompanied by a 6-page worksheet and a word search sheet. The activities include sums, number patterns and sequences, match-ups, true/false activities and oral practice. A great way to introduce numbers and build up to some challenging activities; ensuring the comprehension and use of all numbers up to 100.

This resource pack will ensure students have a full understanding of recognising and conjugating verbs in the future tenses. Each PowerPoint takes you through how to (1) form the future tense with ‘aller’ and (2) form the simple future tense on a step-by-step basis, all grammar notes could be copied into ex books. There are lots of follow on exercises to check comprehension and a reading comprehension in each. These Power Points have been put together after using the grammar notes on which they are based for many years. This is a way of ensuring pupils understand and can easily use these tenses. Each PowerPoint has an accompanying worksheet for all of the exercises.

This resource is for KS3 students, based on the GCSE Theme 1 Topic ‘Self, family and friends’ (or for foundation level KS4 students). The booklet contains a whole range of reading, writing and speaking exercises, similar to those that students could face at GCSE. The student booklet is a 29-page document, broken down into six sub-topics and each sub-topic has 10 exercises to complete. The sub-topics are: all about me; my family; physical descriptions; characteristics; pets and a revision of all topics. The activities include true/false, comprehension questions, translation exercises into English and French, match-ups, writing activities based on given photos, individual writing tasks, gap-fills, multiple choice and speaking activities. These questions have put together by researching all exam boards specifications and example materials. The questions are in themes are also broken down into sub-themes. Within each set of questions in a sub-theme, they have been classified into tenses so that pupils can be clear of the tense they need to use to answer the relevant question. These can form the basis of regular classroom practice for the speaking exam and if pupils are confident with these questions, they will also be able to answer many of the questions that will form part of the photo card section of the exam.
